Heather works with Effingham High School guard (Georgia) and worked with both Suwannee High School and Baker County High School guards. She is also an alumni of Teal Sound Drum Corps. "When a marching season starts, you are greeted with plain flags, a white floor, and strangers. The first few weeks are rough. The instructors test your will and determination by long practices, difficult work outs, and mentally challenging tasks. Then, as November hits, color starts to unfold itself upon the floor as the show begins to mold and take form. Costumes and color schemes are presented bright and exciting like the changing leaves of Fall. December hits. The cold harsh heavy practices of completing a show before premiere takes its physical and mental tole on instructors and performers alike until New Years Eve and a fresh breath of beginning engulfs the team. The performance season is like Spring. Every day and every moment new and special moments are created. Memories form like baby flowers breaking through the ground to grow and strengthen throughout the sweet short time we have competing. April comes quicker then wanted as the symphony of emotions, changes of the show, and friendship comes to its peak at World Championships. The 3 days of thousands of fans screaming our name is like that perfect Spring Day, and on the bus ride home, Summer begins. We have 3 months to bathe ourselves in the memories that warmed us for the last 8 months, keeping us in color, until Fall hits again and color has faded to white and we need new color."
Jessica Marino returns for a third season with Paradigm. She is a graduate of River Ridge High School where she performed for three seasons and an alumni of Spirit of JSU Drum Corps (1999 - 2003). She is working at a Certified Veterinary Technician and teaching color guard at River Ridge High School. "I love this activity for its versatility and emotional appeal. The greatest joy I get out teaching is helping someone else to experience it and gain an affinity for it like I have."
Ginnine Morse is back for her third season with Paradigm. She is a graduate of Suwannee High School where she performed for two seasons and had previously attended Piper High School where she performed for one season. Ginnine is an alumni of both Teal Sound Drum Corps (2004) and Spirit of JSU Drum Corps (2005). She is a nursing student at the Lake City Community College and current is on the guard staff with Suwannee High School in Live Oak. "Success is to be measured not so much by the position that one has reached in life as by the obstacles which he has overcome while trying to succeed. - Booker T. Washington - This quote reminds me of my experience with Paradigm. When you can accomplish what may seem impossible, the reward is the greatest when success is achieved. I have chosen to come back again this year because there are no limitations on success when working with such a great organization."
Christie Hollinger is a second year performer with Paradigm and a graduate of Escambia High School in Pensacola where she performed for four seasons. She is a pharmacy major at Florida A&M University in Tallahassee and occasionally works with the guard at Woodham High School. "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Ever since I came into the colorguard realm. It has been one of the most passionate things in my life that I would live, breath, and die for. Becoming a part of Paradigm truly tested my faith, willpower, perserverance, dedication, and most of all my passion and love for this sport. Coming into such a prestigious world class guard was very intimidating. I knew I possessed the skills necessary, I just doubted my potential in making it happen. Yet, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." This is why I chose Paradigm. I chose Paradigm because it was filled with love, compassion, thrill, drive, and commitment. THis is why this year's show means so much to me. I felt all alone prior to my venture with Paradigm. But as I journeyed with them in 2004 and again now, I don't stand alone. I have a family of loving and caring people, who when you're down will lift you up and when you're up will lift you higher. Be prapared to be amazed at a new realm of Paradigm. It's coming soon!"
Zoe Kulick Norrgardreturns to Paradigm for a second season. She previously performed guard with Milaca High School in 2000 and 2001 and with Avid Winterguard in 2001. Zoe is an alumni of Southwind Drum Corps (2002-2004) and is a student at Hamline University in St. Paul, MN, where she majors in Global Studies and minors in French. She is also currently on the guard staff at Chamberlain High School in Tampa. "There are things we do because they feel right. They may make no sense and they may make no money, and it may be the real reason we are here." There is no place I'd rather be than Paradigm. I am so lucky to be surrounded by such incredible and talented people. This season is going to be an amazing one ... I can only imagine what we'll create together!"
Paula Alfonso is a first season performer with Paradigm. But maybe the best any of us can do is not quit, play the hand we've been dealt, and accessorize what we've got." - Carrie SATC

I really don’t know because I haven’t experienced that feeling! I am glad that I get to spend this year spinning with Paradigm so I don’t have to run out into the real world and group up "just yet. As for now I believe in living each moment to the best of your ability, and not dwelling in the past because you can’t push for your future. My future is spinning with Paradigm, another chance to have the time of my life."
Jaci Portillo is a first year Paradigm performer and a graduate of Crestview High School where she performed for four seasons (2002 - 2005).
