Alumni Talk About Winter Guard & Paradigm
Ginnine - (4 Year Paradigm Performer)
"Small town Lake City girl to ambitious driven nurse, Paradigm has taught me to be driven, dedicated, and what it takes to be a team player in life. I take pride knowing I have blossomed into the strong independent, successful women I am today. I give thanks to my second home/family, Paradigm!"

"Pursuing excellence in all you do as a working professional and life-long learner stems from pivotal events one may experience during their adolescence and young adulthood. Performing with the Paradigm Winter Guard organization from 2000 to 2003 provided me with experiences which reinforced morals, work ethic, and social skills needed for success in the real world setting. Many times I reflect on memories with Paradigm and find that they transcend beyond friendships and athleticism. They are life-long bonds. I belong to a family which spans the continental United States, across many industries and cultural backgrounds, and I am proud to call myself an alumni."

"People are often hesitant about marching while in school, but I can assure you, it's possible! It's not easy, I'm not going to lie. You just have to have the right mind set going into it. Peforming while in school helped me relieve stress. It was my little escape. It's nice to forget about the real world for a bit and just spin."

Paradigm was more than just "something I did when I was younger". I look back on the years I performed as some of the best in my life (has it really been more than 10 years! YIKES!) Its hard to put into words, but Paradigm holds a place in my heart that will stay with me forever. I've made the best friends of my life and will always feel at home in a gym with the Paradigm trailer parked out front. The Paradigm organization showed me what dedication means. Not by it being drilled into my head (which it was), but by watching the staff and directors. They lived the word dedication in everything they did. Complete commitment to not only the sport and the art, but to the kids they looked after and treated like their own. I'll never be able to thank them enough for their love. The best way I can think of is to continue to pay it forward. As a working Mom, I hope to show my daughter the same commitment and hard work that I learned on the floor."

Being a part of the Paradigm family has helped to shape who I am today. From my very first practice I knew that Paradigm is where I wanted to be. Over the years I learned more than just the routines presented to me. I learned life lessons on how to work with and get along with others. I learned what you could accomplish when you gave it your all and also what happens if you don’t. I learned that what at first looks impossible is attainable if you slow down, break it down, and don’t let it overwhelm you. I don’t think I can imagine what my life would be like without Paradigm. I know I wouldn’t want to.
