Shelba Waldron

Shelba Waldron returns to the 2016 Paradigm team as technique advisor.   Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, Shelba has over 25 years in the winterguard activity, having taught  guards at all levels both locally and  nationally. She was formerly the Cadet, Novice, and B class representative for the FFCC Board of  Directors  where she served for the past 3 years and has been on staff with Paradigm for seven seasons.

Shelba has served as technical director and on the technical staff of several Independent programs in Florida such as the Shaktai
Performance  Company, The  Alliance of Miami, Paradigm, Fahrenheit and Gainesville Independent.   She is also an FFJA
judge and  past WGI judge with a focus on equipment.

She is a strong believer in the  training of the body as a means of  training performers in  equipment techniques.  Strength and
endurance training are a driving force behind her rehearsals, as she strives to  train the entire body in concert with the
hands.

Professionally, Shelba received her Master's Degree in 2001 in Criminal Justice and is currently the Training Director for the
Juvenile  Welfare Board of Pinellas County. Her primary responsibility is to ensure that  all those  who work  with youth are given the
resources to gain a better understanding of the  children of today.  She is a state and national  speaker on the topics of  bullying,
childhood obesity, substance abuse,  and the 5 Areas of Wellness.
